A Masters Degree

People seem to presume that if you are not schooling, not working much, and not doing housework, then you must be very free. On the contrary, today is the first time in months that I can actually look at my pda and say, "oh no, I am so free what am I supposed to do today?"

So yes, having no excuses, it is finally time to look at my goals and start thinking of what to do next.

I will be looking at some of my business ideas and tonight, I'll be discussing about starting an online business with sy. I am also now looking at courses on web designing. I'm sure I will be doing online businesses, but the whole big problem is I feel so handicapped when it comes to web designing.

During my first yr in Bizad, someone told me that doing an honours is not necessary cos I can spend that one year to get a Masters. But... what kind of Masters? If you really want a decent Masters degree, they usually require a good honours degree or at least a good bachelor's degree.

So i screwed up my bachelor's degree thinking that it is just a degree that won't have my scores on it, and thinking that I can still get a Masters anyway. I was so wrong for so many years.

Anyway, my goal has not changed. Doctorate before 30 years old.

Sure, it may be a little harder to get my Masters. Maybe have to get a graduate diploma first, or spend a little more money and get a lousy Masters... The point is I gotta do well this time so that I can smoothly gain admission into a doctorate programme.

Some people think I'm dumb. Spending so much money and time, when I don't even wanna get a job outside. I'm reali not such a pragmatic person. Cancerians are idealistic. It's more of a personal fulfillment kinda thing.

The MDIS Masters in Mass Comm is so expensive.... $25,000. I'ld rather do the NTU one at only $9000 a year. But, provided I can get in lah. I will just keep applying until they let me in. Haha. And by then maybe I can't hit my phd before 30 goal.

Most important point to all young kids out there reading, I know you kids are reading... STUDY HARD!!! Everything you do now will leave a trail and affect everything you wanna do in future. Best advice from your old sis here and soon-to-be mummy. Haha. Spend time to write down goals(like me) and review them every few months(like me). I'm going to look at them now. Bye!

Do an MBA, 2-3 yrs part-time, red brick uni. programme should cost you abt $25-30k. Forget abt Phd, only result in permanent head damage.

Haha... that was funny.

I guess it's true, pple with PHDs are all kinda weird.

$25-30k can almost get an NUS MBA already...

Anyway I'm looking more at getting an MA. As I didn't get a degree of my real interest, I wan to do a Masters that I really like this time round.

I heard your lovely voice when I first serched Taiwan Song through google.

I did understand why the judge commented on like what you mentioned. Where is the place of the competition of Projected Superstar?

Not only James Yeow is your fan, me also.

What is your competition tonight?

Just subscribed your youtube, saw your talking vedio when it was 5 months ago ? Would you please don't move the Hokan (Taiwanese) songs away ?

Have you ever had the chance to see the 超級星光大道第二季 every Friday ? Looks like it is a very popular program for the all generations. (like your Project Superstar). You just hit the 200710xx(the date is to be Friday date) by google searching engine and click the vedio, you will see it.

Tink yr result not good enough? Hmm...i suggest you to attend NTU open house. Go speak to the dean, impress him, make him want to talk to you. Show him alot of enthusiasm abt the programme and ask him whether you can visit him on campus to find out more details.

Why i know....cos the Dean was super impressed with me and he even invited me to the campus despite knowing that i din meet some of the criteria. But i din, it was not good enough for me....lol
