OTO vs OSIM
Well, no one paid me to write this and I am an OSIMFan, but I think I ought to write this blog entry to do some justice to OTO.
OTO Trimax-TX908 vs OSIM Uzap
The Uzap claims to work on 2 motors so it's makes more sense cos you have 2 thighs and 2 buttock cheeks. But, I've found that one Trimax motor is in fact stronger than two Uzap motors. The Uzap has a flimsy controller hanging around, which you have to stick on the velcro, but it looks really awkward vibrating when the entire belt is vibrating. The Trimax has an attached monitor and buttons which makes it more convenient to operate and the belt vibrates automatically when the lid of the monitor is shut. It looks more asthetically appealing and is easier to use.
Trimax comes with three different belts of different lengths so you can use it for various parts of your body. The Uzap unfortunately comes with an attached belt that has a fixed minimum and maximum length so you have to buy a Uzap mini if you want to target smaller areas.
Trimax comes with various functions like detox, slimming and massage, whereas you can only adjust the intensity on the Uzap. Uzap comes with a heat function though I find it rather useless. You can adjust the timing on Trimax, whilst the timing on Uzap is fixed at 10mins. And the quality of the cover seems to be tougher on the Trimax. My Uzap cover tore after about half a year of daily usage.
Trimax comes with a more detailed guidebook with the various accupuncture points of the body, facts on obesity, and even some healthy recipes. On the whole, I get the feeling that OTO is more concerned about the well-being of consumers and has put a lot of thought into the design of the product.
OSIM Usqueeze vs OTO Big Foot
The Usqueeze, like many other OSIM products, works on air pressure. It is basically inflated and deflated to give pressure to various parts of your body, in this case the lower leg, to relieve you from aches. For me, I often find the strength too light and prefer the Big Foot, which takes a little time to get used to for first-timers.
The Big Foot works on many many rollers that rub against the various points on your sole like a real foot reflexology session. It also rolls on the top part of your foot and squeezes your ankles really hard, like a real good traditional foot reflexology session. Even the relax mode is rather hard to take and probably not recommended for old people who are more fragile. However, it feels really really good after a whole day in heels. One drawback is that it doesn't target the calves, but that's fine with me cos my massage chair does.
Well the final verdict after using these two competitive products is that OTO wins in terms of product design and sincerity. However, OSIM is doing so much better cos of their excellent marketing. OTO should really do something about their entire organizational structure... cos even their warranty cards still ask for PAGER NUMBERS. GOSH!
